THINNING HAIR OR HAIR LOSS
Why: If you are asking why you are losing your hair you are not the only one. Hair loss is more common than you might think and could be happening for many reasons. One of the leading causes of hair loss is stress. Hair loss could also result from hormonal changes, genetics or as part of a very normal ageing process.
What we can do: Our go-to with hair loss or thinning is to advise a custom treatment to boost hair volume. A scalp massage could help by not only stimulating hair follicles but aiding in relaxation and stress-reduction. We can also teach you good hair care techniques and advise you on the right products to achieve your hair goals.
It is also important to note that sudden hair loss could be related to an underlying medical condition that requires treatment from a medical professional. If needed, your doctor can also advise you on treatment options for hair loss.
DRY OR DAMAGED HAIR OR SPLIT ENDS/BREAKAGE
Why: Right up-front we can say from our experience that using excessive heat on your hair, like blow drying and straightening, causes damage and leads to split ends. The same can be said about dyeing and bleaching. Some lesser-known causes of dry hair are changes in the weather and excessive washing as it strips the natural oils hair needs to lock in moisture.
What we can do: If you have split ends or feel like your hair is dry, don't panic! We can help. We have moisturising therapies to restore your hair's hydration and shine. We can also assist you with recommended trims as well as advise on hair oils and the right hair care products. SCALP CONCERNS LIKE DANDRUFF
Why: The leading, and possibly the most obvious, cause of dandruff is dry skin and the second is shampooing. Not shampooing enough can cause a build up of oils and skin cells on the scalp leading to dandruff. Another guilty party is stress. If you have noticed your dandruff seems to get worse when you are stressed, you are not imagining it.
What we can do: Right in the beginning we will treat your hair with the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type and scalp condition. We also offer scalp massages and exfoliation that will help to loosen and get rid of dry skin on your scalp.
CHALLENGES WITH OILY HAIR
Why: It might be as simple as using the wrong hair products for your skin and hair type. Excessive oil production might also be hormonal, weather related or stress induced.
What we can do: We offer treatments and products like dry shampoo and different clarifying products. Aside from advising on the right products for your hair and hair care routines, we can teach you more about managing oily hair.
FRIZZY OR UNRULY HAIR
